Parent Mitsubishi Motors Corp. conducted an internal audit of vehicles from the 2013 to 2017 model years that showed that fuel economy data complied with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency testing.
"Our findings confirm that fuel economy testing data for these U.S. market vehicles is accurate and complies with established EPA procedures," according to the statement.
The automaker has also shared its data with the California Air Resources Board and U.S. Department of Transportation.
