Mitsubishi Recalls Outlander Models for Door Latches
The recall covers more than 35,000 Outlander and Outlander Sport SUVs in the 2016 model year.

Mitsubishi Motors North America is recalling 35,674 2016-model year Outlander and Outlander Sport vehicles because the inside door latch mechanisms may not latch securely in high temperatures, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
This defect may allow the doors to open while the vehicle is in motion, which poses a safety risk. Mitsubishi dealers will replace the door latches, free of charge, according to NHTSA.
