Mitsubishi Motors North America is recalling 25,185 2014-2015 model-year Mitsubishi Mirage cars because road salt-linked corrosion might result in delayed deployment of the frontal air bags during a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
The recall covers Mirage cars manufactured from Aug. 7, 2013, to Sept. 2 of this year. They were all originally sold in, or were at some point registered in, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin or the District of Columbia.
