The PHEV Concept-S will make its debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show. Mitsubishi released two photos of its PHEV Concept-S, describing it as “sporty and sophisticated.”
Mitsubishi initially introduced the Outlander PHEV twin motor mid-size SUV at the same show two years ago. The existing PHEV is available in Japan and Europe.
Although the Concept-S will be reveiled next month, it would appear in the U.S.late next year. The manufacturer hasn't released any specs on the new vehicle.
The concept vehicle is likely to keep the production model's 2.0-liter gasoline engine. In Europe, its 12 kWh lithium-ion battery pack is good for 32.5 miles of all-electric range, according to Autocar. The 2014 Paris Motor Show starts Oct. 4.
