Mercury Associates, Inc. announced on Oct. 13 that several senior fleet management professionals have joined the rapidly growing consulting firm headquartered in Gaithersburg, MD. Rod Lohof, former fleet manager for the State of Oregon Department of Administrative Services joined the firm Sept. 1 as a senior consultant. Lohof has more than 30 years of experience in the fleet industry with the State of Oregon and Genuine Parts Company. Gary Hatfield joined the firm as a senior manager effective October 1. He was a principal in Advanced Fleet Management Solutions of Bradenton, FL, whose assets Mercury also has acquired. Before beginning his consulting career, Hatfield spent 24 years in fleet management positions with Public Service Company of Colorado (now Exel Energy) and Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Dr. Adlore Chaudier joins Mercury effective November 1 as a senior manager. He currently holds a senior management position in the U.S. General Services Administration overseeing the reegineering of lodging and travel expense reimbursement programs for federal agencies. Before joining GSA, Dr. Chaudier was vice president in charge of government services for Runzheimer International, at which he worked for 20 years. He has extensive consulting experience in the areas of travel and relocation management, mileage reimbursement and car allowance programs, and fleet management. These and other recent additions to Mercury’s professional consulting staff come on the heels of several major project wins. These include fleet size and composition studies for Hovensa, LLC of St Croix, Virgin Islands and for the State of Alaska; a comprehensive review of fleet management and outsourcing practices for the State of Michigan; an evaluation of fleet and facility capital improvement budgeting practices for the Virginia Department of Transportation; and fleet management and operations reviews for the cities of Seattle, Columbus, OH, and Durham, NC. Mercury also has partnered recently with Runzheimer International of Rochester, WI, to win several important contracts with the federal government, including three projects with the General Services Administration, two with NASA, and one with the U.S. Marine Corps.
