Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling an estimated 1,472 2020 GLE 350 4MATIC and 2020 GLE 450 4MATIC vehicles because the owner’s manuals are missing significant information.
Specifically, the manuals do not include information on the appropriate way to adjust the head restraint of the third row seats. Improperly adjusted head restraints increase the risk of injury to third row seat passengers in the event of a collision.
To fix the problem, MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will provide a supplementary owner’s manual booklet with the necessary information, at no cost to owners.
The recall begins Nov. 8. Owners can reach MBUSA customer service at (800) 367-6372.
