Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the EQC, the automaker’s first battery-electric SUV that offers an estimated range of 200 miles on a single charge and boasts 402 hp, the automaker has announced.

The EV offers a peak torque of 564 lb.-ft., it features an 80kWH lithium-ion battery, and has a top speed of 112 mph, according to Mercedes-Benz. It has a 187.4 inch length, a 63.9 inch height, a 74.2 inch width, and the wheel base is 113.1 inches.

The EQC features the automaker’s new multimedia system MBUX - Mercedes-Benz User Experience - which has numerous EQ-specific functions such as the display of range, charge status and energy flow, the automaker announced. EQ-optimized navigation, driving modes, charging current and departure time can also be controlled and set via MBUX.

It is also equipped with the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz driver assistance systems. In the Driver Assistance Package, these include new functions such as predictive speed adjustment when approaching traffic, the automaker said in a release.

Power consumption by the EQC depends on which option is selected in its Dynamic Select system, which offers several different driving styles, including Comfort, Eco, Max Range, Sport, and Individual. It is equipped with a water-cooled onboard charger with a capacity of 7.4 kW

Pricing for the EQC has yet to be determined. It will go on sales in the U.S. in 2020.
