A memorial service for Ed Bobit has been scheduled for 11 a.m. on July 9 in Rancho Palos Verdes to allow family, friends, and colleagues to pay tribute to the founder of Automotive Fleet Magazine and Bobit Business Media. A viewing has been scheduled for 10 a.m.

The service will include a mass and tributes to Bobit, who founded Automotive Fleet 53 years ago. Bobit died June 29 at his home at the age of 86.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made "In Memory of Edward Bobit" to the Torrance Memorial Healthcare Foundation, 3330 Lomita Blvd., Torrance CA 90505.
Bobit remained active as chairman of Bobit Business Media following valve-replacement surgery last summer. Ed's son Ty runs the company as CEO, and his eldest grandson Blake joined the company in 2010.
