Mazda has begun selling its diesel-powered 2019 CX-5 compact SUV following the vehicle's debut at the New York auto show on April 17.
The vehicle, which has been in the works for several years, will be offered in the Signature trim with all-wheel drive. The twin-turbocharged Skyactive-D 2.2-liter engine should deliver 168 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. EPA-rated fuel economy has been set at 27 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
