Mazda Sharing Recall Data with Repair Centers

Mazda North American Operations has begun sharing information about open recalls with CCC Information Services Inc. so the data will be provided to collision repair shops through the company's repair software CCC One.
The move would allow the automaker for the first time to identify recalled vehicles and help collision centers notify affected vehicle owners to make necessary, safety-related repairs. Mazda began in March by ensuring its Takata information has been added to CCC One.
Collision repairers across the country use the CCC One platform to write millions of estimates for repairs each year.
"In the event a recall arises, we want to move fast, notifying drivers through as many channels as possible," said Robert Davis, Mazda's senior vice president of special assignments. "Recall solution offered by CCC gives us another avenue to reach drivers of affected vehicles, who may not be aware of a potential recall, or whose vehicles have not yet been repaired."
