Video telematics and analytics provider Lytx reached several business milestones in 2018 and added more than 300 new fleet clients, the company announced at its annual user conference in San Diego.

Lytx installed and connected 122,000 vehicles to its network in 2018, among the milestones. Lytx clients also saw 625,000 fewer instances of risky driving, as the company analyzed more than 100 billion miles of driving data. Lytx added more than 50 million miles of driving per day during the year. There are now more than 1 million drivers of vehicles that use Lytx products.

During the year, new sales delivered $200 million in incremental contract value.

"Lytx surpassed 100 billion miles of driving data analyzed in 2018," said Brandon Nixon, chairman and CEO. "What matters most about the amount of data we have is the knowledge it provides to help our clients keep their drivers and cargo safe and their fleets more productive."

The video telematics provider added more than 300 clients, including the General Motors Maven carsharing platform, YRC Worldwide, Paschall Truck Lines, Hogan, Caillier Group, Preferred Materials, Smart Care Equipment Solutions, and Argos. In the United Kingdom, the company added Brandon Hire Station and Smith & Byford Limited.

Lytx also collaborated with Mack Trucks to offer a DriveCam event recorder pre-wire option on Mack's Granite, TerraPro, and LR cabovers.

The company also relaunched its product portfolio to make it more modular and customizable this month.

At its conference, Lytx also honored several fleets with its Driver of the Year and Coach of the Year awards. The company gave Driver of the Year awards to clients in six categories, including Government; Services and Utilities; Transit/Motor Coach; For-Hire Trucking; Private Trucking; and Waste/Construction. Respective winners were Martin Bown of the City of Ocala, Fla.; Jerry Ingram of Murphy-Hofman Co.; John Como of MV Transportation; Doug Hager of American Central Transport; Earl Brown of Performance Food Group; and Leonardo Leanos of Waste Management San Gabriel.

Dina Dixon of ARS/Rescue Rooter was named the Coach of the Year.
