SAN DIEGO - Rick Longobart, facility, fleet, and central stores manager for the City of Santa Ana, Calif., will share strategies of how two cities (Inglewood, Calif. and Santa Ana, Calif.) overcame the obstacles of economic disparity by changing the paradigms of non-conventional thinking at the Green Fleet Conference. These cities are adopting renewable sustainable energy, best practices, and community outreach using 21^st-century business practices, while receiving national and City recognition.

Rick Longobart was previously the Fleet Management and Transit Services superintendent for the City of Inglewood, and facility and equipment maintenance supervisor for the City of El Segundo. Longobart's experience consists of fleet and facility maintenance, hazardous waste and AB989, AB32, energy conservation management and recycling programs. He implemented an automated fleet and fuel management system that streamlined the division's operation by using environmentally sound business practices that decreased waste and reduced costs.
