ALPHARETTA, GA - In recognition of Drive Safely Work Week (DSWW), LeasePlan USA, a premium fleet services provider, teamed up with AmeriFleet, the company's transportation partner, to provide its employees with a vehicle maintenance check of their personal vehicles.
"As a fleet management provider, we continuously promote safe driving practices, including proper vehicle maintenance, with our clients. And we strive to instill those same principles in our employees every day," said Michael A. Pitcher, president and CEO of LeasePlan USA.
During DSWW, employees were offered the opportunity to have their vehicle checked on-site at the LeasePlan offices in Atlanta and Chicago. An AmeriFleet technician performed an 11-point inspection on employees' vehicles to help keep them operating as efficiently as possible.
Pitcher adds, "Our employees are the reason that LeasePlan has enjoyed great success and achieved record-high employee and client satisfaction and loyalty rates. So, we pride ourselves on investing in the well-being of our employees, which includes ensuring that they stay safe on the road. We are grateful to AmeriFleet for assisting our employees in their efforts to maintain a safe vehicle."
"With safety at the forefront of our mission for both our employees and our customers, we were pleased to lend our expertise and support for LeasePlan's Drive Safely Work Week," said John Norris, president of AmeriFleet. "As LeasePlan's transportation partner, we applaud their continuous efforts to promote safe driving and hope that our partnership during Drive Safely Work Week helped to further raise awareness of safe driving practices among their employees."
DSWW is the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety's annual workplace safety campaign, providing a turnkey way to remind employees about safe driving practices. This year's DSWW campaign, which took place Oct. 4-8, focused on the dangers of distracted driving, particularly the use of cell phones and texting while driving.
