LeasePlan USA has hired Phil Schappert as director remarketing to oversee vehicles through a variety of channels, the Alpharetta, Ga.-based fleet management company announced.
Schappert brings 18 years of experience in the remarketing industry to the role. Previously he served in remarketing roles with Primeritus and Community Loans of America. In his prior roles, Schappert successfully increased the per unit sale price while growing the volume of sales and decreasing the days to sell, according to LeasePlan.
Schappert replaces Levi McCoy, who retired earlier this year. McCoy had served as president of the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) from 2014 to 2015.
"We couldn't be happier to have Phil on board with us at LeasePlan," said Tony Blezien, vice president of operations. "His years of experience, coupled with our development of cutting-edge solutions, will continue to enhance the way we do business."
