On September 27, LeasePlan USA announced the appointment of Jack Pierce to vice president, Atlanta operations. In his new role, Pierce will oversee the used vehicle marketing, license and title, and purchasing departments. Pierce came to LeasePlan in 2003 and served as director of purchasing prior to his new position. His accomplishments include enhancing service delivery by introducing a door-to-door vehicle delivery program in major metropolitan areas across the United States. The program was developed to leverage volume, develop strategic partnerships with key dealers, control costs and increase service levels to fleet administrators and drivers. Prior to joining LeasePlan, Pierce served as a consultant for General Motors Corporation, acting as LeasePlan’s in-house representative. His experience also includes five years with General Electric Capital where he held various positions in closed-end leasing, financing and remarketing. Pierce also served in the retail automotive industry after serving six years with the U.S. Marines.
