ALPHARETTA, GA – According to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association, there are approximately 400,000 automotive technicians working in the United States that are Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified. Out of that, there are only 1,833 World Class Technicians. That is less than a quarter of one percent of the automotive service workforce.

LeasePlan USA, the high-touch service provider of vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions, would like to congratulate Mechanical Coordinator, Jason Kimes, on becoming the 1,834th World Class Technician.

ASE was established as a non-profit organization with the goal of helping to improve the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive technicians and parts specialists. More than 40 certification tests covering every aspect of the automotive repair and service industry are offered.

In order to achieve World Class status, a technician has to achieve a Master Certification in a minimum of three test series (approximately 22 tests or more than 50 percent).
