ALPHARETTA, GA – LeasePlan USA celebrated the 10-year anniversary of its online fleet management tool, ePlan, last month.

The inception of ePlan ten years ago is among several industry-firsts LeasePlan has celebrated. LeasePlan was the first vehicle leasing and fleet management company to offer online authorizations for repairs and accidents through its online solution, further enhancing client productivity, according to the company.

"LeasePlan is committed to providing technology that better serves its clients. And we believe ePlan is the easiest and most efficient online fleet management tool in the industry," said Jon Toups, senior vice president of sales, marketing and client relations.

ePlan gives fleet managers the ability to perform daily tasks more efficiently, such as ordering vehicles, managing drivers and gathering reports, by accessing vital information via the Internet. An early adopter of paperless operations, LeasePlan made imaged documents available in the first release of ePlan. Today, more than 10 million images are available through ePlan related to ordering, leasing, and services.

"ePlan is continually improved and upgraded through user feedback," said James Semsey, vice president of IT architecture. "In fact, the first phase of ePlan 6.0, the product's next generation, was launched this summer with the release of the full product taking place later this month."
