LeasePlan USA announced that it has separated its sales and marketing departments into two distinct business operations. “The LeasePlan USA sales department was restructured to maximize service to fleets of all sizes,” said David Dahm, president of LeasePlan USA. Mark Conroy will assume responsibility for the Western sales division while Phil Brennan, who previously held this position, is now responsible for client relations. Steve Kantor retains his responsibility for the Eastern sales division. The sales force for LeasePlan ADVANTAGE, the company’s small fleet brand and division, now reports directly to the divisional vice presidents of corporate fleet sales. “In aligning our sales structure, LeasePlan has combined the LeasePlan ADVANTAGE and corporate fleet sales forces in an effort to more efficiently provide a full line of service offerings to all clients while preserving the tailored client service approach we take with small fleets,” said Dahm. Another result of separating the sales and marketing functions was the appointment of Bryan Calloway to the position of senior vice president, marketing. Prior to joining LeasePlan USA, Calloway spent the past four years in England running a global network of independent business-to-business marketing agencies, of which LeasePlan was one of its largest global clients. Calloway will direct all of LeasePlan’s U.S. marketing efforts. In related news, the company also announced the appointment of Dave Chimenti to vice president, sales, and the addition of James Davis as vice president corporate fleet sales for the New England region. Chimenti will be responsible for selling services to small leasing companies and to mega dealers, as well as selling leasing and services to municipalities. Chimenti joined LeasePlan in 1990 as a fleet maintenance manager. In 2000, he assumed the role of operations business analyst and was promoted to director of operations process management in 2002. Prior to joining LeasePlan USA, Davis served as senior vice president of ABN AMRO Inc. (AAI), parent company of LeasePlan Corp., where he successfully marketed a full range of AAI's products and services to a diverse corporate client base and held global responsibility for client relationships.
