LeasePlan Offers Recall Management Via AutoAp
LeasePlan USA has partnered with AutoAp, Inc., an automotive safety recall software company, to offer recall management solutions to fleets.
Through the LeasePlan and AutoAp partnership, LeasPlan clients will have access to accurate and up-to-date information on the recalls status of their fleets and clients will be able to take corrective and preventive actions for vehicle repairs.

LeasePlan USA has partnered with AutoAp, Inc., an automotive safety recall software company, in order to offer recall management solutions to fleets, according to a company announcement.
Through the partnership, LeasePlan clients will have access to accurate and up-to-date information on the recalls status of their fleets and clients will be able to take corrective and preventive actions for vehicle repairs.
The new offering was driven partly by recent information showing that OEMs and parts suppliers have spent more on recalls in the past few years.
In 2016, manufacturers and parts suppliers spent nearly $11.8 billion in claims and recorded $10.3 billion in warranty accruals for the U.S. recalls, according to the recent study "The Auto Industry’s Growing Recall Problem." This combined $22.1 billion was an estimated year-over-year increase, and recent activity from OEMs since then has followed this trend, according to LeasePlan.
