Land Rover's Discovery Sport Adds Mild Hybrid for 2020
Land Rover's 2020 Discovery Sport adds two new gasoline inline-four-cylinder powertrains as part of a refresh, including one that adds a mild hybrid system to boost horsepower.

Land Rover's 2020 Discovery Sport adds two new gasoline inline-four-cylinder powertrains as part of a refresh, including one that adds a mild hybrid system to boost horsepower.
The new powertrains will sit on the new Premium Transverse Architecture platform, which enables electrification and increases body stiffness by 13%. It also adds sound deadening measures.
A base 246-horsepower modular Ingenium engine can be upgraded with the addition of a 48-volt mild hybrid system that boosts horsepower to 286 hp.
On the inside, the luxury SUV adds Land Rover's InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen. Apply CarPlay and Android Auto can be added. Available safety systems include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keep assist.
