Mark Klein, assistant vice president, strategic accounts at Safelite Solutions, retired from the company on July 1, 2023, capping a 33-year career with the company.
A Look at Mark Klein's Career
Klein started his career at Safelite in 1990 when he was hired as fleet manager for Safelite AutoGlass, a position he held until 2013 when he was promoted to strategic account manager. In this position, Klein’s responsiblities included proposing and maintaining auto glass solutions for the leading leasing company vehicle management programs. In 2017, Klein was promoted to assistant vice president strategic acounts.
To the best of my knowledge, Klein is the only fleet manager who also had a political career being elected mayor of the city where he lived. This achievement earned him the affectionate monicker of "The Mayor."
Succeeding Klein is Jon Slane, who has been promoted to strategic account manager for Safelite Solutions taking responsibility for all of Klien’s accounts. Slade has been with Safelite for 15 years and he spent two of those years as technical account manager working directly with Klein to design IT solutions for the managed fleet business.
