WASHINGTON - Kia Motors Corp. is recalling nearly 7,700 MY 2011 Sorento vehicles because some of the rear brake calipers may not have been properly machined.
As a result, brake fluid may leak, followed by illumination of the malfunction light indicating that the brake fluid level is low and should be checked. The condition could eventually result in a soft or spongy brake pedal feel. If the vehicle isn't serviced, there could be a loss of braking power, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This poses a major safety risk.
