Richard Beattie, who will be keynote speaker at Fleet Expo 2002, will focus on "How Automotive Marketing Has Changed the Way We Buy." He is executive vice president of marketing and sales for Jaguar and Land Rover North America. Fleet Expo 2002 will take place Oct. 7-9, 2002 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ. Beattie was formerly vice president of marketing, sales and service for Lincoln Mercury. Additional positions Beattie has held include vice president of investor relations for Ford Motor Company, and president and CEO of Mazda North American Operations, Mazda Motor Corp.'s U.S. and Canadian distributor. Those who attend Fleet Expo 2002 can expect to find real-world solutions that they can take back to their offices. The event also includes the world's largest ride and drive, held in conjunction with the NJ/NY NAFA's New Car Show. Attendees will be able to test-drive 2003-model vehicles on a one-mile test course. That makes the conference, which will take place Oct. 7-9, 2002 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ, a must-attend event for fleet managers. Rob DuPriest, who oversees 60 vehicles as fleet manager for The Supply Room Companies in Richmond, VA, attended last year's Fleet Expo conference and learned a great deal. "This is the first fleet conference I had attended, since I was new to my position," DuPriest said. "I enjoyed meeting other people and learning how they do things. Networking experience is always good at conferences." Jim Stitt, fleet administrator for Crown Castle International, said, "I attended Fleet Expo and what a great conference Bobit Publishing produced. Many thanks for some great information and net-working. The conference was a great investment of my time and my company's." Fleet Expo 2002 features a comprehensive agenda of seminars from industry experts, who will in-struct attendees in subjects such as selecting the right vehicles using lifecycle cost calculations, how to avoid mistakes in spec'ing trucks, and how to determine a cost-effective vehicle replacement policy. Attendees can examine all the latest products in the exhibit hall, and can network with peers at various industry receptions. Fleet Expo is sponsored by Automotive Fleet, Fleet Financials, and Business Fleet magazines. For information, call (800) 576-8788 or visit www.fleetexpo.com. The seminar agenda can also be seen at www.automotive-fleet.com.
