WELLMAN

NAPLES, FL – John H. Wellman, 79, of Naples, Fla., passed away peacefully on June 15 at Avow Hospice after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. His family was at his side. Wellman was national director of fleet sales for the Oldsmobile Division, retiring in 1987 after 33 years. He loved the car business and was proud to have been associated with Oldsmobile during the period when it was the third best-selling car in the country.
Wellman and his wife, Lois, moved to Southwest Florida in 1987 and lived at Spanish Wells in Bonita Springs for several years. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement, including golfing, hunting, fishing, and traveling with Lois, both overseas and throughout the United States.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105 or Habitat for Humanity of Collier County, 11145 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34113.
