HENDERSON, NV – Harry Chouinard, former regional sales manager of Wheels, Inc., passed away from prostate cancer September 7. He was 78. Chouinard is survived by his wife, Sandy, and four children.
Chouinard began his career in the fleet management industry in 1964, and was employed by Wheels for 22 years, from 1977 until his retirement in 1999. He initially covered the Midwest region, working out of the Wheels home office in the Chicago area, then relocated to the East coast in 1982. There, he was responsible for a territory which included Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and parts of New York.
Chouinard was highly regarded within the industry, and was especially well known for the lasting personal relationships he developed with his clients and other industry peers — with many of those relationships being maintained well past his retirement. After his retirement, he and Sandy moved from their home in New Jersey to the Del Webb Sun City development in Henderson, Nev. There, Chouinard found many new friends with whom he regularly enjoyed morning coffee and a brisk walk, as well as an occasional game of golf.
