Hyundai Motor Co. is recalling 33,803 2017-model year Elantra cars because the brake booster may fail and result in a loss of power brake assist, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
“A loss of power brake assist can lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash,” NHTSA warned on its website.
