Hydrogen Chevy Equinox Reaches Fleet Mileage Milestone
General Motors' hydrogen-fueled Chevrolet Equinox compact SUV has crossed 100,000 real-world miles in the Walt Disney Company's fleet as part of the automaker's testing of fuel cell technology.

General Motors' hydrogen-fueled Chevrolet Equinox compact SUV has crossed 100,000 real-world miles in the Walt Disney Company's fleet as part of the automaker's testing of fuel cell technology.
Using renewable hydrogen, the 2007 model-year Equinox saved 5,260 gallons of gasoline over the testing period and generated more than $18,000 in fuel cost savings at $3.50 per gallon.
The vehicle is part of GM's 119-vehicle Project Driveway program launched in 2007. to date, the test vehicles have accumulated nearly 3 million miles and saved 157,894 gallons of gasoline. The vehicles have saved $552,631, according to GM calculations.
Disney's fuel-cell Equinox has operated at the entertainment company's Burbank studio.
