Hertz Named Official Rental Supplier for Rugby League World Cup 2013
As the official sponsor, Hertz will provide vehicles for players, officials and equipment along with a specially branded van to transport the tournament’s trophy.
The Hertz Corp. signed with Rugby League World Cup 2013 (RLWC2013) as their Official Rental Vehicle Supplier, according to a company announcement on Feb. 25.
Hertz will provide its vehicles to carry players and officials between the tournament's matches and vans for equipment. There will also be a specially branded Hertz van to transport the Rugby League World Cup trophy as it visits clubs, schools and landmarks in all of RLWC2013's host communities in the months running up to the competition.
As part of the partnership, Hertz and RLWC2013 are also offering ticket holders a 10% discount off basic car rental bookings in the UK until Nov. 30 for pick-up on Oct. 26 to Nov. 30.
The RLWC2013 website will also feature the Hertz brand through boards and advertisements on the homepage.
