SEARCHWASHINGTON - Hankook Tire America Corp. is recalling more than 17,700 Dynapro AS replacement tires that are size P256/70R17S because they can wear prematurely and pose a risk of a blowout, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
WASHINGTON - Hankook Tire America Corp. is recalling more than 17,700 Dynapro AS replacement tires that are size P256/70R17S because they can wear prematurely and pose a risk of a blowout, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The tires have shown less than expected sidewall performance, and fail to conform to all federal safety standards, NHTSA said.
Hankook Tire will send notices to tire owners of record and replace the tires free of charge. The safety recall will get underway in January 2011.
