REDWOOD CITY, CA – GreenRoad, a specialist in driving performance and safety management, announced a series of webinars focused on how to reduce fleet fuel usage and idling by tackling a major root cause: driving performance.
The webinar series is part of a larger GreenRoad initiative to support the Clean Cities Coalition and to help cities across the U.S. meet clean air objectives, the company said.
“Improving driving performance helps save lives and protects our environment by reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions,” said Tanya Roberts, senior vice president of marketing for GreenRoad. “We are committed to helping cities meet their clean air objectives by putting the best fleet drivers on the road.”
GreenRoad’s Driver Auto-Improvement Loop provides real-time, in-vehicle feedback and coaching so drivers self-improve immediately with no management intervention. By helping employees drive more efficiently and with less idling, fuel is conserved and fewer trips are made to the pump. This results in less CO2 in the atmosphere and cleaner air. GreenRoad said the system also has a dramatic safety impact. Fleets typically reduce crash costs by 50 percent and reduce fuel usage and emissions by up to 10 percent.
The webinar series will provide expert insight and practical tips for executives as well as fleet, operation and safety directors. Webinars are as follows:
· “How to Improve Your Drivers’ Performance in 60 Days or Less” -- Thursday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. Pacific
· “Creating Clean Cities: How Your Drivers Can Dramatically Reduce Fuel and Emissions” – Thursday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. Pacific
