Green Fleet Magazine is launching a revitalized awards program at this year’s Green Fleet Conference & Expo in Schaumburg, Ill. Oct. 29-30. The magazine is choosing to end its relationship with the 100 Best Fleets award program, which includes “The Green Fleet Awards.” The magazine and conference are also not associated with the North American Green Fleet Forum.
“While we’ve had a relationship with this program for several years, after much consideration we’d decided to create an awards program at the Green Fleet Conference that we can truly call our own. With a revamped awards presentation at the event, we will always strive to recognize fleets and other professionals who exemplify outstanding sustainability efforts and have made significant contributions to furthering fleet efficiencies,” said Green Fleet Conference Chair Robert Brown.

Two main award series include Green Fleet Magazine’s Sustainability All Stars and Heavy-Duty Trucking’s Top 50 Green Fleets.
The Sustainability All Star Awards, now in its fourth year, recognizes exemplary fleet industry professionals who have made significant contributions to furthering their fleet’s efficiencies. The deadline to submit is August 18. You can make nominations here.
Heavy-Duty Trucking’s Top 50 Green Fleets recognizes heavy-duty fleets that have made a commitment to sustainability, such as alternative fuels, SmartWay participation, and other efforts to lower greenhouse gas emissions. You can fill out the award survey here.
The recipients of these awards will be announced at the industry’s annual event, the Green Fleet Conference & Expo, on Oct. 29. Select award winners will get the chance to address the attendees so other fleets can learn from real stories and strive to meet the industry’s leading sustainability-driven fleets.
