Goodyear announced on Nov. 27 a new all-position tire line for the Class 3-5 pickup and delivery market. The tire line provides high mileage, consistent treadwear, durability, and long casing life, according to Goodyear's commercial tire division vice president, Ted Fick.
The G647 Regional Service All Position (RSA)/Regional Severe Service (RSS) tires have a mud and snow (M+S) rating, optimized tread radius to maximize tread life and reduce tread scrubbing, and steel ply/steel belt construction for better sidewall impact resistance and overall durability. Both the RSA and RSS tires have a tire design and footprint shape that helps minimize shoulder wear caused by tighter and more frequent turning. The RSA line comes in nine tire and load range combinations (for 16- to 19.5-inch wheels) and the RSS line in five size and load combinations.
