Goldman Sachs is one of the newest members of the EV100, a global business initiative designed to increase the speed of electric vehicle adoption among companies.

Companies who join the initiative make the commitment to integrate electric vehicles into directly owned or leased corporate fleets; place requirements in service contracts for electric vehicle usage; support staff to use electric vehicles by installing charging infrastructure at all premises; or support EV uptake by customers by installing charging infrastructure at all premises by the year 2030.

In Goldman Sachs’ case, the company has committed to installing electric vehicle charging stations at its owned office locations, with parking offered to full-time employees.

In the offices where it’s a tenant, Goldman Sachs will engage with landlords to encourage EV charging installations and making it a criterion for site selection.

“In addition to RE100, we are thrilled to join The Climate Group’s EP100 and EV100 initiatives – optimizing the energy efficiency of our buildings and installing electric vehicle charge points for our staff. We hope to inspire many more companies to follow suit,” said Dino Fusco, global head of corporate services and real estate, Goldman Sachs.

The 10 founding partner of the EV100 included LeasePlan, Unilever, Baidu, IKEA Group, HP Inc., Vattenfall, PG&E, Deutsche Post DHL, and Metro AG.
