GM's New Full-Size SUV Will Benefit From Plant Upgrade
General Motors will invest $20 million in its Arlington Assembly plant in Texas, which will fund upgrades for a new full-size SUV it plans to built at the plant, the company has announced.

General Motors will invest $20 million in its Arlington Assembly plant in Texas, which will fund upgrades for a new full-size SUV it plans to built at the plant, the company has announced.
GM has invested more than $1.4 billion in the plant since 2015 to build a new paint shop, as well as upgrading the body shop and general assembly area. GM plans to complete the latest upgrades next year.
Arlington Assembly produces the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, and Cadillac Escalade. The plant opened in 1954 and employs 4,500 workers. It operates three shifts.
