DETROIT — General Motors will offer a gas/electric hybrid version of the Chevrolet Malibu in the 2008-model year. The hybrid Malibu will be introduced in September 2007 as a 2008 model. It will compete in the hybrid car segment with the Toyota Prius and Honda Accord/Civic hybrids, as well as the mid-size Ford Fusion hybrid coming out in the 2008 calendar year.
