GM Recalls Hummer H3
WASHINGTON - General Motors Corp. is recalling more than 162,000 MY 2006-2010 Hummer H3 vehicles because of a problem with the hood louver.
WASHINGTON - General Motors Corp. is recalling more than 162,000 MY 2006-2010 Hummer H3 vehicles because of a problem with the hood louver.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, some of these vehicles have a condition in which the integral clip-tabs on the louver on the hood may fracture. This could cause the hood louver to rattle against the hood and become loose. Over time, if no action is taken, additional clips could fracture and the hood louver could detach from the vehicle. If the vehicle is being driven at the time, this poses a major safety risk.
To remedy the problem, dealers will apply an adhesive to the hood louver to secure it to the hood. This service will be performed without charge.
