General Motors estimates that by 2005, more than 100 organizations will have global fleet vehicle supply agreements with the auto industry in the U.S., representing an annual buy in excess of 250,000 units. GM CEO Rick Wagoner said fleet sales are increasingly playing a major role in the development of GM's global sales strategies with the growth of multinational organizations with vehicle needs in multiple markets. Wagoner made his comments during an exclusive interview with Automotive Fleet magazine at GM's 2003 Fleet Preview in Savanah, GA. "Customers with a global perspective represent some of the largest organizations in the world and they are an important and growing market for GM," Wagoner said.
