The inaugural Global Fleet Management Conference, which will be held in Phoenix, Ariz., Sept. 30-Oct. 1, may be more than two months away, but fleet managers and executives from around the world have continued to shower enthusiastic praise on what looks to be the must-attend event of the year.
Here is a sampling of the feedback received from fleet managers and executives:
“The conference lineup is awesome!” – Tracy McCann, Manager, Global Fleet Services for Mylan.
“After looking over the agenda, I can’t wait to attend.” – Keith Scolan, Manager, Global Fleet for ITW – Illinois Tool Works Inc.
“The agenda is very comprehensive. The dinner discussions will be a great way to engage the participants. Participants typically get the most out of conferences when they learn directly from other attendees.” – Sandra Lee, Director, Worldwide Fleet Safety & Worldwide Environment, Health & Safety, Johnson & Johnson.
“The agenda is excellent!” – Randy Burwell, Lead Buyer and Fleet Specialist for Valero Energy.
“Wow! What an agenda.” – David Haslerud, Manager, 3M Administrative Services, 3M.
The agenda, which was developed in coordination with handpicked U.S. and European Advisory boards composed of fleet managers and executives from some of the world’s leading corporations, is designed to give fleet managers and executives who manage global fleet assets practical information to help them run their companies’ fleets more efficiently and effectively.
Andrej “Andy” Sacha, Global Car Fleet Solutions Manager for Nestle Business, underscored the value of the Global Fleet Management Conference to attendees.
“Conferences like [the Global Fleet Management Conference] allows one to meet and exchange experiences, ideas, and concepts that could prove invaluable when developing your fleet strategy,” he observed. “In order to understand the various facets of global fleet management, it is necessary that you gain an understanding of the complexities that exist in the various parts of the world. What is successful in one part of the world does not necessarily mean it will be successful in another. A global fleet manager needs to develop not only a comprehension of the various regions, but a feeling for the local cultural habits.”
Feedback from U.S.-based global fleet managers for the inaugural conference has been equally enthusiastic. “The agenda looks great and very robust. It’s going to be an outstanding first meeting,” said Louise Davis Lopez, Supply Manager, Fleet Services for Johnson & Johnson.
For Jonathan Kamanns, Fleet Manager – North American Fleet Services for Ingersoll Rand, the Global Fleet Management Conference is an event whose time has come. “The Global Fleet Management Conference is much-needed as more and more organizations are looking to globalize at least their fleet strategy. The conference’s educational agenda is solid,” he said.
The Global Fleet Management Conference, which will be held in at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix hotel, Phoenix, Ariz., is being produced by Bobit Business Media, publisher of Automotive Fleet, and Nexus Communication, publisher of Fleet Europe.
In addition the regular conference agenda, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in several pre- and post-conference workshops and will receive a pass to attend the second day of the Green Fleet Conference & Expo, which is being held a within walking distance of the Hyatt Regency Phoenix hotel, and will feature an agenda geared to global sustainability issues.
