Geotab has been awarded a National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) four-year contract for the procurement of fleet management and related technology solutions, which offers streamlined purchasing for NJPA members.
Representing more than 50,000 members across the United States, NJPA provides cooperative solutions to government, education and nonprofit entities as they strive for efficient public service, according to a release. Because the solicitation process has been completed by NJPA on behalf of its members, government agencies can legally enter into purchasing agreements without the need for additional solicitations. This allows member agencies to purchase solutions at competitive volume pricing, in a more efficient and timely manner.
“Geotab’s fleet management solutions are currently being used to improve productivity and operational efficiency at a variety of government levels,” said Jean Pilon-Bignell, Manager, Strategic Market Development, Geotab. “Through this NJPA awarded contract, all local and state government fleets gain access to premium quality secure telematics solutions without having to engage in a lengthy and costly bidding process.”
Geotab’s platform security is designed for end-to-end protection of data, according to Geotab. The company collects over 2 billion points of data every day, and provides critical intelligence to enable new and innovative smart-city and state applications to help government agencies improve regional operations surrounding transportation efficiency, citizen safety and environmental sustainability, according to Geotab.
Positioning Geotab to provide secure telematics solutions to all levels of government, the awarding of this NJPA contract follows Geotab’s receipt of a five-year blanket purchase agreement with the United States Department of Homeland Security.
