Camera solutions provider SmartWitness has added its fully integrated HD video telematics solution, GoCam, to the Geotab Marketplace.
The new GoCam add-on allows Geotab users to transition from location tracking, to ELD reports, to reviewing incident video within their MyGeotab platform.
Through GoCam, fleet professionals can monitor driver behavior in real-time and collect video data that can help improve safety and provide evidence in the event of an insurance claim.
"GoCam enables fleets to experience significant savings in terms of insurance claims and disputes, helping to effectively eradicate fraudulent claims while providing the most accurate evidence to improve driver behavior," said Nick Mirchef, SmartWitness president. "Launching GoCam on the GeoTab Marketplace will provide Geotab customers with a quick and cost effective way to add HD video into their existing telematics solution."
SmartWitness devices provide up to four camera channel inputs in the GoCam add-on. Road and driver facing cameras are the most common, but additional viewing angles include the side, rear, and cargo areas of the vehicle.
Recorded data can legally protect fleet managers and drivers if they are involved in a collision that results in an insurance claim or dispute.
