WASHINGTON - Genie Industries Inc. is recalling 82 MY 2009 TZ-34 and TZ-50 trailer-mounted booms, manufactured from April 1 through Aug. 26, 2009.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, material used in the platform support components was not in compliance with the manufacturer's specifications. This could result in cracking of the supporting structure and ultimately result in the platform falling, posing an injury risk.
Genie will notify owners of the recall, and repairs will be performed by authorized dealers free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during June. Owners can contact Genie at (877) 738-7530.
