GE Commercial Finance, Fleet Services announced on July 13 that it has introduced new email functionality for PM (preventive maintenance) Reminders. PM Reminders is an electronic notification sent directly to drivers via email to remind drivers when an oil change is overdue. As an enhancement to Fleet Services’ Maintenance Management auto/light truck program, PM Reminders is an efficient way to reach drivers through e-mail to remind them to change the oil in their company vehicles. The notification provides details as to the number of days since the last oil change and the number of miles driven past the recommend oil change schedule. PM Reminders is a tool to emphasize the importance of changing the oil in fleet vehicles on a regular basis. The routine inspection during the oil change screens for potential issues which extends the life of the vehicle’s engine, helps reduce unnecessary maintenance costs, increases resale value and saves customers’ money.
