“The launch of the new eco website builds on our commitment to the electric vehicle industry by providing our customers with tools to enhance their fleets and convey the benefits of leasing and operating alternative fuel vehicles,” said Deb Frodl, chief strategy officer for GE Capital Fleet Services. “We are committed to transforming the fleet services industry and helping our customers understand the impact that alternative-fuel vehicles have on their business, the industry and the environment.”

The Business Solutions section includes a fleet manager guide, eco monitor and an electric vehicle summary. The fleet manager guide offers steps on developing a plan to reduce a fleet’s fuel consumption and carbon emissions, while the eco monitor provides quarterly updates on current environmental topics and trends. Fleet managers can stay informed about new and upcoming electric vehicles with features and launch dates through the website’s electric vehicle summary.

The Driver Solutions section provides tips, tools and strategies to improve driving habits and environmental efficiency. Tools available include a driver eco guide to help increase awareness of environmentally inefficient driving habits such as rapid acceleration and excessive idle time. A safety guide offers alternative-vehicle maintenance tips in addition to relevant safety information. The website also provides access to a calculator that compares a driver’s current vehicle with a more fuel efficient one. The analysis shows the impact that an alternative-fuel vehicle has on fuel costs and CO2 emissions.

Fleet managers and drivers have access to a news center that includes information on the latest developments in alternative vehicle technology, new cars and initiatives across the country. Site visitors can also access the latest insights into alternative vehicle technology and events.

GE Capital Fleet Services, based in Eden Prairie, Minn., is a global fleet management company with operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
