Gasoline Rises to $2.23 Per Gallon
The national average price of a gallon of unleaded has increased 1.1 cents to $2.235 for the week ending Nov. 9, according to federal records.

The national average price of a gallon of unleaded has increased 1.1 cents to $2.235 for the week ending Nov. 9, according to federal records.
The move brought the average price to 70.6 cents lower than it was a year ago, as fuel prices have moved sideways in recent weeks. Gasoline prices increased incrementally in seven of the nine regions tracked by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
The sharpest increase in the regions came in the Gulf Coast where the average price moved 5.6 cents higher to $1.972. The Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions saw a decrease of 5.3 cents to $2.215 and 5.9 cents to $2.181 respectively.
Among states, the average gasoline price remains above $2.50 per gallon in four states, including Hawaii ($2.872), California ($2.837), Nevada ($2.708), and Washington ($2.51). It remains below $2 per gallon in six states with the lowest average in South Carolina at $1.947 per gallon.
