Gasoline Reaches $3.22 a Gallon on Uptick
The national average price for gasoline rose 2.5 cents to $3.219 for the week ending Nov. 18, halting a nearly two-month decline that brought prices to the lowest level in almost three years.

The national average price for gasoline rose 2.5 cents to $3.219 for the week ending Nov. 18, halting a nearly two-month decline that brought prices to the lowest level in almost three years.
Gasoline fell to $3.194 for the week ending Nov. 11, according to federal data. The national average price is still 21 cents lower that it was a year ago.
Weaker demand has caused the decline, and several states have reported to AAA an average price below $3 per gallon. As of Nov. 11, six states fell into this category, including Louisiana, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. The lowest state average was Missouri at an average price of $2.82 per gallon.
Meanwhile, the national average price of diesel fuel fell 1 cent to $3.822. Strong global demand for diesel has kept prices steady. Diesel is 15.4 cents lower than it was a year ago, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
