Meanwhile, diesel fell 1.3 cents to $3.857 per gallon, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Gasoline and diesel prices are expected to continue their decline in late 2013 toward the $3 mark due to dwindling demand and ample stocks, according to AAA. On Friday, Missouri became the first state to fall below $3 per gallon since Wyoming averaged below that mark on Feb. 7.
