Gasoline Prices Fall to to $3.29 Per Gallon
The national average price of gasoline fell 5.5 cents to $3.299 for a gallon of regular unleaded for the week ending Oct. 6, according to federal data.

The national average price of gasoline fell 5.5 cents to $3.299 for a gallon of regular unleaded for the week ending Oct. 6, according to federal data.
The continued decline in fuel prices came for both gasoline and diesel fuel, which fell 2.2 cents to $3.733 during the week. The average cost of diesel is now 16.4 cents less than it was a year ago.
Gasoline prices, which now average 6.8 cents less than a year ago, fell in all nine regions tracked by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The sharpest decline came in the Midwest, where it fell 10.4 cents to $3.109 per gallon. The Lower Atlantic region saw the lowest decline of 1.1 cents to $3.256 per gallon.
Gasoline now costs at least $3.50 per gallon in only seven states, including Hawaii, Alaska, California, New York, Oregon, Washington, and Connecticut. Hawaii continues to top this list with an average price of $4.129.
