Ford Motor Co. is recalling an estimated 87 2019 Ford EcoSport vehicles for a seat back problem. Specially, the vehicles may have an insufficient weld between the side member and A-bracket on the front seat back.
This scenario may result in a seat back with reduced strength, which can increase the chance of injury in a collision.
To fix the problem, dealers will replace front seats on affected vehicles with new seats.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries resulting from this issue. Ford's reference number for this recall is 18C08.
