Ford Pro, a separate global vehicle services and distribution business within Ford, announces new, complimentary telematics services for commercial customers designed to leverage OEM data to boost fleet uptime and productivity. The services are offered through Ford Pro Intelligence, Ford’s digital services arm formerly called Ford Commercial solutions.
Ford Pro Telematics Essentials is a complimentary web-based application that is now available to all commercial customers using gas-powered Ford vehicles with embedded modems, Ford Pro announced on Nov. 11.
Ford Pro Telematics Essentials provides fleet operators with a dashboard view of each vehicle’s instant odometer readings, diagnostic trouble codes, recall notifications, trackable maintenance alerts, and information around engine hours and oil life.
Ford Pro is also offering three years complimentary service of Ford Pro E-Telematics, which is designed to help commercial customers manage their E-Transit and F-150 Lightning Pro fleet vehicles and control energy use costs with charging insights.
With Ford Pro E-Telematics, fleet managers can access a dashboard to monitor electric vehicle battery range and charger locations, state of charge, and energy consumption, as well as the ability to schedule vehicle preconditioning.
“No matter how big or small a commercial fleet may be – and whether it’s fully electric or not – vehicle data plays an important role in improving uptime and efficiency,” said Brent West, general manager of Ford Pro Intelligence. “Both Ford Pro E-Telematics and Ford Pro Telematics Essentials provide key information and abilities to fleet managers through an intuitive interface – at no additional charge.”
