Ford Pro announced it will expand its 5-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty to additional commercial vehicles beginning with the 2027 model year.
The expanded coverage will apply to the 2027 Ford Explorer, Maverick, Ranger, Mustang (excluding GTD), Bronco (excluding Raptor), Bronco Sport, Mustang Mach-E, Expedition, and E-Transit.
The move extends warranty coverage already available on Ford commercial trucks and vans, including the F-150, Super Duty (F-250 through F-600), Transit, F-53/F-59 stripped chassis, and E-Series models.
According to Ford Pro, commercial customers purchasing eligible vehicles under a Fleet Identification Number (FIN) and designated fleet sales type will qualify for the coverage.
Ford said the warranty expansion is intended to help reduce unexpected repair costs and support lower total cost of ownership for fleet operators. The warranty is also transferable if the vehicle is sold before the coverage period expires, including sales to non-fleet buyers.
The announcement was made during Ford Pro's Fleet Preview event in Las Vegas by Ford Pro President Alicia Boler Davis.
Ford Pro has not yet released additional details regarding warranty terms, exclusions, or coverage differences among the newly eligible vehicle lines.
